SDP and AIS

SDP and AIS are programs from the leading card companies, Visa, MasterCard, JCB, Diners Club and Discover, for the protection of card data that is stored in computer systems. Merchants, cardholders and the entire payment system are thereby effectively protected against losses through the misuse of card data.

Site Data Protection (SDP) from MasterCard and Account Information Security (AIS) from Visa contain regulations concerning the secure handling of credit and debit card data for merchants, service providers and acquirers. They are based on the PCI security standard (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard)

Acquirers worldwide, such as SIX Multipay, are obligated to implement both programs among their merchants.
